Vegetables - why should you eat them?

Vegetables are a source of many ingredients that are extremely valuable to our body, including vitamins, minerals, bioactive substances and dietary fibre. Their consumption therefore has a significant impact on our health, Here are examples of vegetables that, among other things, we should include in our diet:

tomato - is a rich source of vitamin C. One tomato of approximately 200 g covers as much as 60% of the daily requirement of this vitamin. Tomatoes also provide potassium.

paprika - red paprika is a valuable source of -carotene, i.e. provitamin A. In addition, paprika contains vitamins C, E and folate.

carrots - are a rich source of -carotene, which is provitamin A, and dietary fibre. Just 100 g of carrots (1 not too large piece) covers the body's requirement for vitamin A by 200%. Among other things, it helps to maintain healthy skin, good eyesight and supports the immune system.

cauliflower - provides a not inconsiderable dose of vitamin C, which contributes to reducing the feeling of fatigue and tiredness. In addition, it is a source of folic acid and vitamin K, which has a positive effect on blood clotting.

broccoli - is an excellent source of vitamin C and K. It also contains a significant amount of folate, -carotene and potassium.

courgette - has a very low energy value (only 15 kcal/100g) and consists of 95% water. This vegetable is considered organic, as it does not accumulate heavy metals (especially cadmium) or nitrates. It tastes great both raw and cooked.

green peas - are a valuable source of vitamins (thiamin, niacin, vitamin C), minerals (potassium, phosphorus, copper, manganese), dietary fibre and vegetable protein.
