Education Dr. Adam Shoukry was born and raised in Forest Hills, NY. Knowing he wanted to be a dentist since before graduating high school, he applied for and was accepted to the highly competitive seven-year BA/DDS program in NYU, in which he would complete a rigorous 3-year undergraduate course of studies. He graduated with honors and received his B.A., also while receiving the prestigious founder’s day award. He immediately moved on to NYU College of Dentistry. After completing another rigorous 4 years of study and training near the top of his class each year, he received his doctor of dental surgery degree as a member of the prestigious OKU national dental honor society in 2005. Training Dr. Shoukry attained his NY state dental license through successful completion of the north east regional board of exams (NERB). He then chose to apply for a general practice residency for further training, where he was accepted at the highly-touted Nassau university medical center program. Upon completion of his one-year residency, his directors presented him with the option of staying for a second year as chief-resident, where he would further his training and treat more complex cases, as well as have the chance to train and mentor incoming first-year residents. Dr. Shoukry jumped at the chance, and graduated from the program in 2007. Career While in private practice, Dr. Shoukry stays dedicated to continuing education, having completed many accredited courses in all aspects of dentistry.
