During the opening ceremony for the Olympics in Paris, a segment featuring drag queens caught the attention of Christian-identifying viewers. They believed that the performers were “mocking” Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting. However, it turns out that the drag performers were re-creating the feast of Dionysus, which depicts the Greek gods of Olympus, in honor of the Olympics.
