Great Friday is a Christian occasion celebrating the torturous killing of Jesus and his demise at Calvary. Great Friday is the Friday before Easter. It is a day of recognition that Jesus to be sure was killed, beaten, and held tight on a cross to kick the bucket for the wrongdoings of individuals of that age as well as for all humankind forever.
