10 Best Places to Visit in Manali for Couples in Winters: A Personal Experience

My partner and I were always wishing to have a snowy trip, so Manali indeed seemed like a perfect destination for us as a perfect winter getaway.

It was well-combined with all those snow-covered landscapes, cozy cafes, and thrills of adventures that make it perhaps one of the most sought-after romantic getaways around.

We selected one of the Manali honeymoon packages, which would take away the hassle of planning, providing us with complete packages from hotel stays to guided tours.

Here is the list of the 10 best places we went through in our Manali trip package for couples, and trust me they are perfect for making unforgettable memories.

Solang Valley – Our Winter Wonderland

Solang Valley was the first off the Manali honeymoon package, and it utterly exceeded our expectations. The instant we reached, the vast horizon of snow welcomed us.

We could not help ourselves to go skiing and snowboarding together, which was quite exciting fun (or rather funny, as we didn't know what we were doing!) and a cable car ride where we relished the panoramic view of the white-capped mountains.

This would include a ride, the scenery that would breathe a lot of life out of you, or simply the rush shared during this trip.

Rohtang Pass – A Walk in a Snowy Dream

While Rohtang Pass is closed to all vehicles for most of the winter, we still had some time to explore the snow-covered wilderness around.

It was surreal silence and untouched snowfields where we relished strolling hand in hand. This magic on this Manali trip budget for the couple is hassle-free transport up till the base of the pass.

It was such a still moment in time; we were just walking through the snow, with nothing around us but the sound of our footsteps and the wind beating against us.

Old Manali – Cozy Cafes and Quiet Corners

It felt like the world had stood still as we trudged through the snow. All that we could hear was our footsteps pounding on the surface and the rustle of the wind.

After all this excitement, Old Manali was our cozy retreat. We spent hours just sipping upon hot chocolate and drifting to the live music there within quaint cafes, cobbled streets, and an old-world charm.

Best of all, though, was that this trip package in Manali for couples offered a comfortable stay in such a peaceful part of town, leaving us with a good base to explore around.

Old Manali allowed us to unwind, cozy up, and relish the simple feeling of just being together.

Hadimba Temple – Serenity in Snow

It formed a part of our Manali honeymoon package, the Hadimba Temple, amidst towering deodar trees. The place was nicely covered with snow, so it was magical. That is where we decided to slow down and imbibe the sublime and spiritual feel.

This temple offered a very peaceful atmosphere as well as a wintery landscape, which indeed is so romantic.

Vashisht Hot Springs – A Warm Getaway

Vashisht Hot Springs was a part of our itinerary, and such a haven for some warmth in the freezing winter air.

Soaking the body in warm natural spring water was good enough to be calm and bonded together after days of tracking something in the wild.

The merger of cold mountain air with the warmth of spring created an uniquely intimate experience that we both loved.

Naggar Castle – A Step Back in Time

Perhaps, Naggar Castle was one of the most scintillating stops we made during our journey. The old castle, perched atop a picturesque hilltop, offered breathtaking views of the Kullu Valley.

We strolled through its timbered corridors and verandahs and had a romantic lunch at the castle restaurant as part of the Manali honeymoon package. Sipping coffee by the window with the snow-lined valley view was nothing but magic.

It was magical, as it seemed to really step into a fairy tale. A centuries-old castle itself and a fabulous Himalayan backdrop added to it.

Gulaba – A Hidden Gem

The way to Rohtang took us through a small, quiet snow-covered village called Gulaba. One of those places that one could find peace on a day spent outside the usual haunt of tourists. It can be afforded for a couple through their budget for a Manali trip.

The pristine beauty and isolation of Gulaba gave us the impression that we had this entire winter wonderland to ourselves.

Manu Temple - A Quiet Stroll Through Snow

Manu Temple near Old Manali was again a peaceful place in our sojourn. The scenic walk up to the temple had snow all around it.

The transport for the Manali trip package for couples had taken care of all transport, and so all we were concerned about was enjoying the journey.

The quiet stroll amidst the scenic mountainous surroundings, under the cover of snow, and temple atmosphere had us derive as much reflection and almost a spiritual feeling from this.

Jogini Waterfalls – Frozen in Time

The trek to the Jogini Waterfalls was another highlight of our trip. As far as waterfalls go, during summer, it's renowned for its rushing waters; but going there during winter was like entering a real frozen wonderland.

Icicles were hanging off cliff walls, and the waterfall partially froze as it fell. That was really a breathtaking sight.

The trek in the snow up to the frozen falls made it one of the most thrilling and romantic experiences for us.

Mall Road – Snowy Strolls and Souvenirs

Nights at Mall Road were perhaps the night tour of the trip. Although one would have loved this place even in winter, it had a certain lively feel with twinkling lights and busy shops. We strolled hand-in-hand, exploring and warming up over hot local snacks.

Thanks to the budget for a Manali couple trip, we also left ample space for little treats for ourselves.

The festive winter vibe coupled with fresh snow and a cozy feel of cafes made Mall Road a perfect way to end our days.

Conclusion

A Winter Wonderland Awaits Our Manali honeymoon package gave us a perfectly planned winter getaway, with every little detail taken care of.

Be it adventurous skiing at Solang Valley, the quiet moments at Hadimba Temple, or snuggling in the hot springs, each day felt like a new experience. While it was magical in itself, this trip was not expensive on the pocket, either, for a two persons' Manali couple trip budget.

Trust me if you're looking for a winter escape with your better half; Manali has all the charm and romance one could ever ask for.
