Nexon Features

The Tata Nexon comes equipped with a range of advanced features. It boasts LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRLs) and connected LED taillights that include welcome and goodbye animations. Inside, you'll find dual 10.25-inch displays—one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster. The car also offers connected car technology, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (available in the Creative + trim). Additional features include wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera (from the Creative + trim onwards). Notably, even the lower-spec Smart+ S variant includes a voice-activated sunroof, adding a touch of premium comfort.

Tata Nexon Engine and Transmission

You have two engine options, each with various transmission choices to suit your driving style. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine offers a 5-speed manual in the base model and a 6-speed manual in higher trims. It also comes with two automatic options: a 6-speed AMT or a 7-speed DCT, with the latter available only in the top variant. This engine delivers 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, known for its balance of power and fuel efficiency, produces 115 PS and 260 Nm. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.

Tata Nexon Mileage

The Tata Nexon's mileage varies by engine and transmission type. For the 1.2-litre Turbo-Petrol engine, the claimed mileage is 17.44 kmpl with a manual transmission, 17.18 kmpl with a 6AMT, and 17.01 kmpl with a DCA. The 1.5-litre Diesel engine offers 23.23 kmpl with a manual and 24.08 kmpl with an automatic transmission. However, real-world fuel efficiency is likely to be about 4-5 kmpl lower than these lab-tested figures. If fuel efficiency is a top priority for you, note that Tata will soon offer a factory-fitted CNG option for the Nexon.
