Working at Heights Training Vaughan is provided by F.A.S.T. Rescue, an accredited provider in Ontario.

Our program is fully compliant with the latest Ontario regulations and equips workers with essential knowledge for the safe use and operation of equipment when working at heights.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to identify fall hazards and implement appropriate safety measures. The primary goal of the training is to educate workers on their rights and responsibilities while working at heights, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and teach them how to select, inspect, and properly use industry-standard personal fall arrest equipment, such as harnesses and lanyards.

Throughout the course, participants will cover the following topics:

The Law:
- Overview of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and regulations
- Definitions of a competent person and worker
- Roles, rights, and responsibilities
- Employer safety policies and programs
- Workers' rights
- Internal Responsibility System
- Regulations, enforcement, fines, and penalties
Fall Protection System Training:
- Hazard recognition, including fall hazards
- Hazard elimination strategies
- Working alone protocols
- Hierarchy of Control Measures
- Regulations for fall prevention
- Workplace inspections
Fall Prevention:
- Use of guardrails, protective covers, warning barriers, and travel restraint systems
Fall Protection Systems and Personal Protective Equipment:
- Fall prevention systems
- Selection, inspection, and setup of fall protection equipment and anchor points
- Personal fall protection equipment and components
- Emergency rescue procedures and suspension trauma
Ladders and Access Equipment:
- Ladders, scaffolds, powered elevating work platforms, and suspended access equipment
- Workplace-specific training

Certification:

Participants who successfully complete the 8-hour training session will receive a certificate approved by the Chief Prevention Officer (CPO).

Breaks and Lunch:
