Samsung not only proves to be the fastest and most timely manufacturer in the monthly release of security patches for its smartphones, but also one of those who hardly "forget" to update devices with a few more months on their shoulders.

About a year after its arrival on the market, as announced in recent weeks, the Galaxy A51 is receiving its second "important" update that comes about a month after Android 11 and One UI 3.0. Along with the April patches, which have also arrived on Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold2, among others, the 3.1 release of Samsung's user interface is also coming on the Galaxy A51 (SM-A515F). The build of this firmware is A515FXXU4EUC8.

As for the April security patches, Samsung has not yet released a detailed list of all the fixes made, which is sure to happen in the next few days. Regarding the One UI 3.1, which made its debut with the Galaxy S21 range, there are some new features on the way. These include Eye Comfort Shield which automatically adjusts the blue light based on the time of day and Private Share, which allows you to manage and control access to files shared from your smartphone.

New features also concern the camera that is enriched with Single Take functions, to simultaneously capture photos and videos with the various cameras through a single shot, Object Eraser to remove elements from images, and Multi-microphone recording to capture audio directly through the integrated microphone. and an external Bluetooth. There are also some new features relating to the interface that make the menus easier to read and navigate.

The new firmware for Galaxy A51 has already been released in Russia but should be extended to other countries in the next few hours. The update will be available in OTA (over-the-air) mode directly through the appropriate menu in the settings or through Smart Switch applications on PC. To proceed with the installation it is necessary to have at least 20% of residual autonomy.
