If you want to connect your new NETGEAR Extender to your existing Wi-Fi router, using the default NETGEAR IP address, which is 192.168.1.250. Then follow through these steps:
1. Power up your extender and your router. Keep them in the same room for quick setup.
2. Connect your device, smartphone or laptop, to the extender network. To connect either use Wi-Fi connection or Ethernet connection method.
3. Open up any of your internet browsers, on your device.
4. Type 192.168.1.250 or mywifiext.net in the URL address bar and press enter.
5. It will take you to a page, where you can easily setup your NETGEAR extender.
6. Click the NEW EXTENDER SETUP option and follow all the on-screen installation instruction.
7. Once done with the installation instructions, click the finish button to close the setup wizard.
8. Now, connect any of your Wi-Fi Network Device with your extender network for testing.
