With the rapid development of international trade and the continuous extension of transportation services, LCL international shipping container transportation has been widely used. However, LCL transportation is different from FCL transportation in that its transportation requirements are specific and independent. So, what issues should we pay attention 貨物保險to in LCL and consignment during international shipping?

We need to pay attention to the following points when consolidating and consigning cargo in international shipping:

Generally speaking, LCL cargo cannot be booked by a specific shipping company. Shipping companies only accept bookings for FCL cargo, not directly for LCL 國際貨運cargo. They can only be booked through freight forwarding companies (some powerful shipping companies through their logistics companies). ) combines LCL cargo and then books space to the shipping company. Almost all LCL cargo is transported through "centralized entrustment and centralized distribution" of freight forwarding companies.

When negotiating a deal with the customer, special attention should be paid to the relevant transportation terms, so as to avoid discovering 全球物流查詢that the transportation terms cannot be met when the other party's letter of credit is issued and the shipment is handled. In daily operations, we often encounter L/C regulations that do not accept bills of lading from freight forwarders for LCL cargo transportation. Because the shipping company does not directly accept bookings for LCL cargo, the shipping company’s ocean bill of lading is issued to the freight forwarder, and the freight forwarder then Issue HOUSE B/L to the consignor. If the L/C stipulates that the freight forwarder B/L is not accepted, then there will be no choice when handling the actual transportation, which will cause L/C inconsistency.

The packing tonnage of LCL goods should be accurate. The factory should request that the weight and dimensions of the goods be measured as accurately as possible before delivery for LCL, and charges will be calculated based on the re-measured weight and dimensions. If the factory changes the packaging, it should notify the factory in time and do not wait for the goods to be delivered to the freight forwarder's warehouse. Feedback from the freight forwarder often means that time is already tight. Changing the customs declaration documents will easily delay customs declaration, or produce expedited customs declaration fees and port fees.

In some ports, due to the shortage of LCL supply and high cost, freight forwarding companies specializing in LCL business charge lower fees for smaller quantities of cargo. Therefore, when trading small-volume and relatively port-oriented cargo, some of these factors should be considered to avoid being passive in the future.

For some international routes and ports that are relatively remote, and for which LCL goods are to be delivered to inland points through customer questions, it is best to consult before signing a transaction to confirm that there are shipping companies and freight forwarding companies that can undertake the business. Taking advantage of these remote behaviors The contract will be signed after delivery at ports and inland points and related costs.

Local customs will focus on inspecting sensitive and trademark-protected goods. For goods involving intellectual property rights, whether they have a brand or not, whether it is a registered trademark of our company or factory, or authorized by the customer, an "Intellectual Property Rights Statement" should be filled out in advance. For a wide variety of goods, there are many types of goods with the same trademark. The list of names and numbers should be detailed. Do not use general commodity codes to replace major categories. Customs clearance will arouse suspicion. When found, the inspection does not match the actual goods. Come and let go of trouble.

Leave room for cost accounting. Freight forwarders operating LCL typically assemble goods or ship them out in 40-foot or 40-foot-tall containers. Customs can only accept customs declaration after LCL goods are packed. If an inspection is performed, there will be an inspection fee, so it is best to consider the cost of this portion of the fee.
