Additionally, there are a lot of items which are just unsatisfactory because of how non-functional they are. You're lucky if you can even interact with Animal Crossing Bells an item, and often the result is much too underwhelming(a prime example is that the canon you make it from Gulivarrr, which includes a pitiful little'poof' effect in lieu of a canonball).
The arcades may have minigames. Pools and bathtubs could allow you to lounge in them similar to chairs. I want to be able to really ride the teacups or go into the phonebooth.
I love that you can now openly decorate your island/village, it's a fantastic development for the series I think is underappreciated by some men and women who only seem to gripe about the game, but it has highlighted just how shallow the game's items are.
The good news for those developers is they have a solid base, they just need to place a lot of work into creating it deeper.
Shoutout to them entirely ruining events. You know how in the past there would be an event NPC and you'd do little quests to them and get items in return?
Well hey those items still exist, only now they are unlocked from randomly spawning balloons. Every event, it's only more fucking balloons. I have not bothered to shoot down a single damn balloon after Easter since the machine is fucked beyond all reason.
I understand someone's gonna make the joke about the horrifying bunny in NH technically being an event NPC, and that is the kicker--you are completely tricked into thinking he is and the event will be like previous AC games, only for the match to kick you into the dick and buy Animal Crossing Items tell you to hunt balloons for 2 weeks.
