NBA 2K21 Is On Next-Gen Consoles While 2K Spews Vague Nonsense Around"Value"
I literally thought about submitting the story to this last night, but got busy. This might kill consoles for me. In Canada games are currently 79.99 + tax. To $90, that brings games in Ontario. If prices go up, that means games will be $100. If I want a steelbook variant, I am looking at NBA 2K MT almost (going by regular costs ) $150. Then if they want to do a whole lot of add-ons or even DLC? It is unacceptable. Notably since salaries are stagnant, and we're in the middle of a pandemic.
I had a hard time justifying $30 for the Sky of No Man during the Steam Summer Sale. Happily NBA 2K21 has been entertaining enough that I believe it was worth it. Hell no. Hopefully this is just Take Two being greedy fucks, however I guess that due to how well sports games sell (because people appear to enjoy these copy and glued yearly releases) other publishers won't be long to follow along.
Lso, em, if they raise the bottom game cost, you bet that they will increase the expense of DLCs and expansions to reflect the bottom price. Just gonna make things more expensive and reduce names individuals would have the ability to afford. Playing PC is so much cheaper it's not even funny. Turns out a competitive software market drives prices down to free. Who knew that would work. Definitely that depends upon whether you have a good machine that is enough, although it is cheaper to buy.
You don't need a costly PC to play games. And it is cheaper / more justifiable if, like a great deal of people, you need to use a computer anyway on your lifetime. My PC was built by me 8 decades ago and at that time I've just purchased some RAM, a hard drive, and replaced the video card once. It still plays the latest games at high graphics and high framerate.I only replaced my Gen 1 i5 this past year along with the GPU is due an upgrade now. My PS4 was a big sorrow purchase when I got it performed with Killzone Shadowfall exclusively. I then didnt find anything I liked until Horizon on the system: Zero Dawn, God of Spiderman and War. It's mainly been a mediaplayer.
Consoles have become PC hardware at a premium cost. They are largely beholden to their willingness to invest in servers which results in shitty D/l prices and Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo. I am concurrently incredulous and interested. As (at the UK atleast) the electronic copies of Playstation games come almost exclusively through the PSstore meaning the cost is always high unless they determine its sale period. That is making me wonder about whether or not consumer watchdogs will start to consider telling Sony etc, which they need to let store fronts around the stage.
Another wrinkle in what is likely to be the new shell cost of $70: $60 was put as the 15 years back when bodily retailers got a cut. Now that committed sport retail shops are on the way out and electronic distribution has become primary, there is even less need to perform this. And greed finds a way. They're putting a man that is dead on the cover to sell duplicates, seriously fuck 2K away.
I am a gamer. However, I still have times where I wish to buy NBA 2K21 because I have been expecting it for a long moment. Nintendo titles are a day one purchase for me, since it speaks to the quality of the games- games in the Zelda franchise. In addition, I have a child and if she's old enough, she's likely to need games for things like Birthdays and Christmas. Children don't understand this crap. I am not going to disappoint her only because I want to stick on NBA 2K Coins it to the'man'. As for things such as the eshop - that I don't purchase from the eshop. The reason is I am believer in NBA 2K21 game ownership. A lot of folks got fucked over when the Wii's shop went down.
