"In addition to meeting an idea WOW WOTLK Classic Gold we've heard from players for quite a while We anticipate there to be lots of new Classic players who will be joining new players for the first-time in Wrath of the Lich King Some of them may be concerned about the fact that they'll feel like they're behind," Blizzard's forum post states. "Fresh starting realms should give players the opportunity to feel in a similar position as everyone else."

There are some restrictions for creating an account on a fresh start server. At least for one month, gamers will not be eligible to receive an upgrade for their character that is paid or fresh start servers will not be able to accept transfers from other servers for the same period of time. 

For those who want to play as with a Death Knight in Wrath of the Lich King Classic will have to reach level 55 for their character on this server prior being able to create the Death Knight character on that server. This won't be required on any other Wrath of the Lich King servers, and players will be able to create one Death Knight on any server without the need for a level 55 character.

According to Blizzard it is expected that this Wrath of the Lich King pre-patch should last from two to six weeks. This means new players joining fresh servers won't be given a lot of time to achieve their max levels before they're able to travel to the newly created continent Northrend. Once the patch is released with it, all of the Burning Crusade Classic servers will immediately be transformed into buy WOTLK Gold Wrath of the Lich King Classic servers.
