Sayed Quraishi is a Medical Student at the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, New York City.He is also an advocate for global climate justice and a member of the Campaign to Fix the Debt.
Quraishi was born in Mumbai, India.His father, Dr. Saheb Quraishi, was a renowned gastroenterologist, whose patients included Amitabh Bachchan.
 
His family emigrated to the United States in 1976.Quraishi is the second of four children.Quraishi graduated in June 2004 from Cornell University, where he majored in International Relations and Natural Sciences.
 
He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.In 2007, Quraishi graduated from Yale University, where he majored in Human Biology and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha and the Yale Pro-D Group.At Yale, he was a member of the Upsilon chapter of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
 
Quraishi graduated in 2010 from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.In 2016, he was the winner of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation Fellowship.
