Dr. Domenico Calcaterra is a highly respected and experienced cardiac surgeon, featuring over two decades of experience in his field. He graduated with his Medical Degree from the La Sapienza University of Rome in Italy. He completed his residency in General Surgery within the same institution, followed by a further residency completed at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. Driven to further his knowledge and expertise, Dr. Calcaterra completed his fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida followed by a fellowship in Surgery of the Aorta at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also holds a PhD from the University of Rome School of Medicine.
