Well as I'm sure you've noticed , you can use dual-wielding weapons in the present. It was the case that in earlier times (as in the days before RS Gold the Evolution of Combat) aside from 2 handed weapons your only options was to use a single handed weapon , with a shield or an offensive shield slot item such as a Defender or a God book However, these were shields in theory. So now you have an extra choice - you can wield a weapon and a shield for extra defensive bonuses (and can use a couple shield only defensive/constitution abilities) or you can dual wield weapons.

Dual weapons are more offensively focused obviously, and it's better than 2 handed weapons due to the fact that you have slightly better abilities. That's why many prefer dual crossbows over than a 2handed crossbow or bow, or one wand plus the shield slot offensive weapon equivalent (usually orbs, such as the Spider Orb) rather than staves (except in specific situations when you must risk just one item). The basic idea is to think of the orb as a type of crossbow or sword off-hand even thought it doesn't look like an actual weapon.

Thus, it's the equivalent of the Spider Wand because it has the same tier, and it's the matching off-hand offensive weapon associated with the Spider Wand. And it let's the player cast spells by using the offhand slot as it's a weaponjust as the case if you had two swords, for instance, you'd be able to deal injury with both. At your level you can possibly purchase and utilize Batwing however which is even more effective and cheap, too.

Warpriest is the top armor in F2p however it's only obtainable by players... except if you took part in the event some time ago that I don't think. It maxes out at tier 2 in F2P (was modified by Jagex) So it's not the most effective armor for most situations.
