Air Max 270, Chinese New Year (aka Lunar New Year) 2022 is just around the corner. With Jordan Brand recently unveiling its celebratory lineup, Nike will also be joining in with dedicated releases for the holiday. According to the Chinese zodiacal calendar, 2022 is set to be the “Years of the Tiger.” To celebrate, the Swoosh has prepped a kids’ Nike Dunk Low covered in details nodding to the striped cat.Effectively, the upcoming pair is split in two section, with the forefoot indulging in a light grey that contrasts the predominantly-black arrangement that appears from mid-foot to spine.
This Nike SB Dunk Low comes dressed in a Black suede base paired up with Grey suede on the toe area. The split-colored motif is then decorated with embroidered tiger stripes throughout the heels, satin liners and a Golden mini Swoosh on the lateral toe mudguard. If you take a closer look, you will spot tonal Asia-inspired designs on the eyestays, overlays on the ankle and Swooshes.Logos on the tongue label and sock-liner join the satin-covered collar in introducing a copper-reminiscent hue into the mix. Lastly, a semi-translucent, vibrant orange takes over the outsole, revealing black blotches that further nod to the tiger.
