We all know what dog tags are- the cute little metals piece with chain for your pet so that you don’t lose them. But do you know where this all started? Back during the time of civil war soldiers were afraid about the fact that no one would be able to identify their dogs if they died. They were terrified of being buried in unmarked graves, so they found various ways to prevent that. That’s how the trend of tags started.
