Each kind of sport has its supporters. But the only kind of sport that has lovers is cricket. This is because cricket does not give you the satisfaction you need once you start to watch it. It would help if you learned the basics and how it's done. You can go to a cricket field as a newcomer and not understand what is going on, just like newcomers who bet games online. However, many cricket fans enjoy watching men's cricket more than women. But lately, since the Indian Women's England tour in 2017, the ratings and fans of women's cricket in India have gone up. It was during this match that they reached the finals in 2005.

If you love cricket, there is no reason why you shouldn't support women cricketers. It's the same as that of men. Here are reasons why you need to start watching women's cricket;

Impact on Women in India

Even after years of women playing in cricket, it was only in 2016 when they were recognized. From this time forward, cricket was not taken as a hobby anymore. People have been following women's cricket events in domestic cricket. Additionally, women's cricket has been inspiring women to join cricket. People are finding out that women's cricket is not different from men's or young people's cricket. Hence, it wouldn't hurt to take your kids to the games, and they may even take an interest in the cricket game.

Cricket's Impact on India

Ever since Indian women's cricket reached the 2017 50-over world cup finals, they have made a lot of impact in India. But, as former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar said, some young girls have been picking up a cricket bat or ball as they are motivated.

In 2018, the India Women's Cricket team had a Sri Lanka Women's Cricket tour. It consisted of Women's One Day Internationals, ICC Women's Championship, and five Women's Twenty Twenty20 International. India women won the WODI series and WT201 series. Hence, in 2019 they have nicknamed the Women in Blue. Since these results, women's cricket has been having an audience and spectators filling up in the stadiums.

Indian Women in the T20 Bash

Three Indian women cricketers have appeared well in the Women's Big Bash League. The WBBL is played every summer in Australia. These women include Veda Krishnamurthy, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Smriti Mandhana.

Veda Krishnamurthy made her first debut in international cricket at 18. She had then scored 51 runs in her ODI debut. Veda is a right-handed batter and bowls right-arm leg break. In 2015 she was named in the B-grade contact list, and in October 2017, she was signed by the Hobart Hurricanes for the 2017-18 WBBL season. In 2018 she was named in the India squad for the 2018 1CC Women's World T20 tournament in the West Indies. In 2020, she appeared in India's squad for the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia.

Harmanpreet Kaur is an Indian Cricketer and captain of the Indian team in T20Is. She is an all-rounder and has been awarded the Arjuna Award for the cricket year in 2017. She was the first woman to score a century in a Women's T20I match. Additionally, in 2019, during a series against South Africa, she became the first Indian cricketer man or woman to play in 100 international T20 matches.

Smriti Mandhana plays for the Indian women's national team. In 2018, she was named as the best women's international cricketer by the BCCI. Later in the year, she was awarded the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award by the ICC for being the best cricketer of the year.

The Women's IPL

In 2017, the idea of having a women's version of IPL was brought up, and it was pretty exciting. The IPL for women was then introduced in 2018, and it featured IPL Trailblazers and IPL Supernovas. Supernovas ended up winning this match by three wickets in the Wankhede Stadium. The league was then expanded in 2019 to a three-team tournament with a new team named IPL Velocity.

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues - A Peek into the Future

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues are two excellent Women Indian cricketers. They have proven to be talented as they are the future of Women's India. Both of the players have batted several times and have given great stats. Mandhana, the lefty batswoman, and right arm bowler, has an average of 43.1 in ODIs and 21 in Tests, and 25.2 in the T20I. Jemimah Rodrigues, on the other hand, is becoming a mainstay of the Indian Eves' side.

Taking some time to support women's cricket is a great idea. At the same time, you might find the experience exciting as you wait for the last ball with all the results possible. So go on watch women's cricket, support them and keep it here for more new and IPL betting tips.
