In case you haven't heard it, Amazon Games' long-awaited New World MMO is just around the corner. In 2016, what was then the Amazon Games studio announced that it was in development. The long wait is finally over and thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, the game will be released on August 31st. Now that the internal beta has started, there are literally thousands of players testing it - anyone who has pre-ordered the game can enter the internal beta.

In short, New World is an action-oriented MMO with Faction Wars, a rich, explorable, and ever-changing open world full of quests, various treasures and discoverable locations and settlements that can be physically conquered by the warring factions.

The game begins with the first area called Windsward, which spans the first ten game levels before players dive into the world's PvPvE mode, Outpost Rush. Unlike World of Warcraft, trading between players can be faction-independent. The game features a wide range of professions, including crafting (armouring, armor, engineering, jewelry making, cooking, arcane and furniture), finishing (blacksmithing, woodworking, leatherworking, weaving and stone), and collecting (logging, harvesting, mining, tracking and Skinning). The players can be trained in all available professions using resources such as fire, flint, ore and minerals.

Just like gold in WoW Classic, the entire game economy is based on the New World currency "coins". Coins are needed for everything from training spells and skills to upgrading equipment and everything else in the game. Many players just buy New World coins and farm them, and it's not that difficult to loot everything.

Loot everything

As in any other MMO, the New World allows you to speed up your coin collection by looting and selling items to the game's suppliers. This is worth noting because many players only take a few items from the loot to equip upgrades and set the rest aside. When players learn to distinguish between tradable and auctionable items (such as flint or kindling), it is beneficial to set them aside - because selling these items to other players gives you more than giving them to the dealer.

Complete quests

As with any MMO, one of the best ways to earn gold in the New World is by completing quests. For each quest, you receive a certain amount of gold and rewards, which increase as your character improves.

Create and sell items

They also sell and trade in special raw materials for the furniture and craft professions. This is not immediately possible as any type of craft or furniture specialization will require some upgrades, but after level 10 it can be well worth it. Since the game is new, there will be many lower-level players looking to purchase better equipment so forging weapons and armor can earn you extra coins.
