Here are some pro tips to help you get the most out of your experience and NBA MT, and whether you decide to stick with 2K21 or move on to 2K22, these tips will undoubtedly improve your overall game play.

1. You must become familiar with your jump shot
This is definitely a general tip for a lot of players out there, and sometimes it's the players' fault for not taking the time or investing the time to learn their jump shot, but oftentimes it's 2K messing with sliders or changing up jump shot consistency, so you need to know your jump shot and figure out which jump shots are good.

2. Defense during the transition
You must spread and fill your lane properly after long rebounds or turnovers; no one should be in the middle of the court clogging up the lanes; instead, fill the lane based on your starting position; if you're running with a good point guard, your point guard should know to start in the middle or work his way into the middle; and you want to fill that lane based on your starting position. In order to hit the corner shot or fill the lane at the perimeter, you should fill that lane with your teammates. If you know your teammates and know that one of them is a good finisher, you should allow that space for him to fill a finishing lane. As a result, your point guard has a number of options. Remember that you are extensions of your point guard; allow your point guard to properly conduct the offense; and providing options for your point guard will only benefit your team on the court.

3. Attack
Because spacing is critical during half court gameplay, you don't want to stack defenders on your ball handler; you want to maximize the options and angles available to your ball handler; spreading the floor helps your point guard tremendously. All too often, I see players in motion during half court gameplay, and this only limits the angles available to your point guard to conduct the offense properly, so spread out and let your point guard do his or her job.

4. Increase your defensive awareness by practicing
Winning takes a team effort; do not simply follow your arrow as you develop defensive awareness. You can begin by becoming familiar with your teammates' positions on the court.

5. Never give up the baseline in exchange for a simple dunk or layup
It's critical to direct the player toward your big man or whatever your assistance is. Because defense is so insignificant in NBA 2K21, the majority of players are forced to play help defense. More help defense is required, and this helps you improve your defensive awareness by knowing where your teammates are on the court, which allows you to earn more NBA 2K22 MT. You want to lean the ball handler towards your assistance, you want to play one side on the ball handler, choose left or right, and the way you determine which side to choose is by knowing where your teammates are on defense. If you're going to play the left, your teammate is going to be on the right, and that will lead the ball handler into a trap for an easy turnover. If you limit the options for the ball handler out there and force him to make a choice, you can start controlling and dictating what the offense is going to do out there.

6. Adopting a defensive posture
If you are beaten or screened and there is no chance of recovery, slide over on the screen man or in the corner and allow your teammate to pick up the ball and continue. Always remember to allow twos before allowing a three-point shot. Switching to defensive mode is essential for 2K 21. Switching on defense has always been critical and crucial to playing good defense on NBA 2K. However, switching on defense takes a significant amount of time and chemistry to develop with your teammates. Improved communication is essential for proper defensive rotations; as soon as you master these skills, you will be able to maximize your NBA 2K22 MT Xbox Series.
