No one can remember Tom Brady's humble beginnings quite like his former Patriots teammate, Julian Edelman.

Edelman recalled his roots to celebrate the seven-time Super Bowl champion, after the announcement on Thursday that Brady and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes would be featured on the cover of "Madden NFL 22".

"You've seen a lot progress since QB #. 12' @TomBrady," Edelman tweeted, along with an image of an older Madden game that failed to mention Brady's full name and photo.

Brady was the 199th overall pick in the sixth selection round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He took the New England quarterback duties from Drew Bledsoe in 2001, winning his first Super Bowl as a Patriot. He went on to win six championships playing with Bill Belichick during his 20-season time in New England.

In March 2020, however, Brady agreed to cheap Madden 22 coins a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 43-year-old quarterback claimed his seventh Super Bowl title in February after he beat Mahomes, 25, and the Chiefs.
