Sweet and Crunchy honey nuts burfi with Dates
This traditional Indian sweet dish features roasted nuts, dates, and honey, offering a perfect blend of texture and flavor. No-bake, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly.
Ingredients:
1 cup mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios, walnuts)
1 cup dates, finely chopped
1/4 honey
1/4 cup desiccated coconut (optional)
Instructions:
Roast the mixed nuts in a pan on low flame for 5-7 minutes until it turns golden brown. Allow to cool, and after that, chop the nuts.
Grind honey and dates in a mixer until well combined and form a sticky paste.
Combine the paste with the roasted nuts and mix thoroughly. Add ground coconut for extra texture if using.
Place parchment paper in a small tray for easy removal and transfer the mixture into the tray.
Let the mixture cool in the fridge for about one hour. Once set, cut into square or diamond-shaped pieces.
