In hardware stamping parts factory, deep punching, also known as deep drawing and calendering, is a mechanical stamping processing technology, which is a stamping process that uses a deep drawing die to make a certain shape of flat blank or hollow part into an open hollow part.

The shapes of thin-walled stamped parts after deep drawing process are: cylindrical, stepped, conical, spherical, box-shaped and many other irregular shapes. These deep-drawn parts can be made into extremely complex shaped stamping parts through other cold stamping processes such as flanging, expanding, flaring and necking.

Therefore, in the production process of automobile, aircraft, tractor, electric appliance, instrumentation, electronics and other industrial sectors, deep drawing process occupies a very important position.

The deep drawing process of stamping parts can be carried out on ordinary single-action presses, or on special double-action or triple-action deep drawing presses or hydraulic presses.
