UGC NET Exam: The National Eligibility Test, also known as UGC NET or NTA-UGC-NET, is the examination for determining the eligibility for the post of assistant professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship award in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC job portal to allow employees and employers connect more easily The official statement by UGC noted that the job portal will allow employers to browse the academic profiles of the candidates registered on the site.

Alternately, it will also allow candidates to look through the job vacancies posted there. “The portal helps NET/SET/PhD qualified candidates to bring their academic profile to the attention of universities/colleges and other employers with the ultimate aim to get them a suitable job,” reads the official UGC notification.

UGC NET 2021: Exam Date Postponed for December 2020 Cycle UGC NET 2021 Exam Postponed: National Eligibility Test known as UGC NET is conducted twice in a year for selection of deserving candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian Govt. Universities and Colleges. NTA UGC NET exam is conducted in the month of June & December every year but UGC NET exam for December 2020 Cycle will be conducted as 2021 May exam.

The examination will now be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Till July 2018, the UGC NET exam was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Check: UGC NET Upcoming Notification here
