What is an Amphibious Excavator?
An amphibious excavator is a specially designed construction vehicle that is capable of operating both on land and in water. While conventional excavators are limited to work on land, they have the unique ability to transition between land and shallow water environments with ease. This dual capability makes them extremely useful for a variety of wetland construction, dredging, and infrastructure projects.
How do They Work?
They function very similar to regular excavators on land. However, their tracks and chassis are modified to float and propel themselves through water.
