Course Outline

• The Law: Overview of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and regulations, including roles, rights, responsibilities, safety policies, the Internal Responsibility System, and enforcement measures.
• Fall Protection System Training: Understanding fall hazards, how to eliminate them, and the hierarchy of control measures. This includes regulations for fall prevention and conducting workplace inspections.
• Fall Prevention: Use of guardrails, protective covers, warning barriers, and travel restraint systems.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Selection, inspection, and setup of fall protection equipment and anchor points. The course also covers emergency rescue procedures and suspension trauma.
• Ladders and Access Equipment: Safe use of ladders, scaffolds, powered elevating work platforms, and suspended access equipment.
