The course also covers the selection, inspection, and proper use of industry-standard personal fall arrest equipment, such as harnesses and lanyards.

The course covers the following key topics:

Legal Requirements: Understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations, including the roles, rights, and responsibilities of competent workers and employers.

Fall Protection Systems: Training on recognizing fall hazards, eliminating risks, and implementing fall prevention measures such as guardrails, protective covers, and travel restraint systems.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Selection, inspection, and proper setup of fall protection equipment and anchor points, along with emergency rescue procedures and suspension trauma awareness.

Access Equipment: Safe use of ladders, scaffolds, powered elevating work platforms, and suspended access equipment.

Workplace-Specific Training: Tailored training to address specific workplace scenarios and hazards.
Certification:
Participants who successfully complete this 8-hour training session will receive a certificate, approved by the Chief Prevention Officer (CPO).

Breaks and Lunch:
The training includes several 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. Participants should arrange their own lunch.
