The primary goal is to educate workers on their rights and responsibilities, ensuring they work safely and in compliance with regulations. The course also covers the selection, inspection, and proper use of industry-standard personal fall arrest equipment, such as harnesses and lanyards.

  • Legal Requirements: Understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations, including the roles, rights, and responsibilities of competent workers and employers.
  • Fall Protection Systems: Training on recognizing fall hazards, eliminating risks, and implementing fall prevention measures such as guardrails, protective covers, and travel restraint systems.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Selection, inspection, and proper setup of fall protection equipment and anchor points, along with emergency rescue procedures and suspension trauma awareness.
  • Access Equipment: Safe use of ladders, scaffolds, powered elevating work platforms, and suspended access equipment.
  • Workplace-Specific Training: Tailored training to address specific workplace scenarios and hazards.

Certification:

Participants who successfully complete this 8-hour training session will receive a certificate, approved by the Chief Prevention Officer (CPO).
