Fondly called the"Golden Girl" also as"Payyoli Express", P.T. Usha is one of India's most prosperous athletes. The woman with alacrity has mastered the conducting track for nearly two years, including numerous accolades for her name and getting an inspiration for every single woman all over the world. Pilavullakandi Thekkeraparambil Usha was created on 27th June 1964 at a low-income household at Payyoli village (close Calicut) Kerala. Throughout youth, Usha confronted poverty and sickness that made her more powerful. She revealed profound interest in sports throughout her adolescent, after getting a scholarship of Rs. 250 in the Government of Kerala.After that, Usha made her way into a sports college at Cannanore (Kannur). After becoming ready for the big movement, Usha engaged at the Moscow Olympics at 1980 since the first Indian girl to compete at the Olympics. She subsequently clinched a silver trophy in the Asian Games, held in New Delhi at 1982. Post that accomplishment, Usha never turned backagain.

Usha attained the summit of her success from the year 1985, making five gold awards at 100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay plus a bronze medal at 4x100m relay in the Asian match, held at Jakarta.
