Deepa Malik has time and again demonstrated that physical constraints can't dissuade a strong mind. Even after experiencing three surgeries, she was still left paralyzed from the waist down.

Even after going through so much bodily injury, she successfully managed a catering business for seven years. At the age of 36, she finally decided to go for a career in sports.

After she started, Deepa was truly unstoppable. She has won 58 nationwide & 18 International medals till today. But, these have come from various disciples.

As a matter of fact, she's the first Indian girl to win a Paralympics trophy .

Deepa also holds the distinction of becoming the first physically challenged person to acquire a Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India license.
