The weekend is fast approaching. Sure, it’s been a busy week of classes at Napa Valley College. You and your friends may be figuring out what to do.

Why not all of you go on a road trip that can last the weekend? This guide will go over three destinations that won’t be a long drive from the doorstep of your off-campus apartment. Choose your destination, get packing, and enjoy making memories with your friends that will last a lifetime.

Ready to see what destinations are the best? Let’s get started.

  1. San Francisco

Our first road trip destination is a mere 50 miles to the south of Napa Valley College off-campus housing. Easily accessible mostly through Interstate 80, you can be in San Francisco within an hour or so (depending on traffic conditions). You’ll be spending the weekend checking out places like Fisherman’s Wharf, Japantown, or even Alcatraz.

You may even check out the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and take pictures of the awesome view. San Francisco just might be the place you and your friends can hang out this weekend.

  1. Lake Tahoe

If you like to ski, snowboard, or be on the water, Lake Tahoe could be the place to do it. It’s a year-round road trip destination for you and your friends whenever you want to have fun. This place will be just three hours east of Napa Valley, so it’ll be a longer drive.

But if you want to go somewhere that’s a little out of the way, why not? There is so much you can do in this place that straddles the California/Nevada border.

  1. Mendocino Coast

Want to head to the beach and enjoy the best sunsets? Are you looking for the perfect getaway by the ocean? If you answered “yes”, the Mendocino Coast may be the best place.

Check out Glass Beach whenever you get the chance. After that, check out the many sites such as the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens or even the Noyo Headlands Park. If you love the outdoors, there’s so much you can do in a place like the Mendocino Coast.

It also happens to be near the Pacific Coast Highway. So if you and your friends want to ride around in part of this legendary California Highway, you can be able to do that. Then again, it happens to be part of the main route you can take to and from Napa Valley.
