The recent decision by Ambuja Company to reduce freight rates for trucks equipped with 16 tires by one rupee has sparked controversy among truck operators. While the company issued a warning alongside the rate adjustment, operators have refused to accept the decision. This dispute may deepen the longstanding disagreement between Daddi Ghats Ambuja Cement Company and truck operators. The company has set rates for single-axle vehicles, reducing the rent for trucks with 16 tires by one rupee per kilometer. Operators have rejected this proposal. They argue that smaller trucks are earning more, while larger trucks face reduced freight rates. Consequently, entry for these trucks has been halted since May 11th. Baghal Land Loser Truck Operators claim there has been no mutual agreement on reducing freight rates. The company mentioned in their email that freight rates for expensive trucks are higher. Operators unanimously declare they won't succumb to arbitrary decisions. Previously, the company was embroiled in a 73-day dispute over freight, which was eventually resolved by the government's intervention. Jagdish Thakur and Deputy Chief Rishi Raj Gandhi of the Baghal Land Loser Transport Association stated that the association has written to the company management expressing their disagreement with the approved freight rates for 16-wheeler trucks. If the company wishes to negotiate, the association is ready for discussions. To learn more about this issue and stay updated on the latest news, visit the KRT News Network website.
