Both engines come with a 9-speed automatic transmission that powers all four wheels.
Mercedes Benz S-Class Features
The S-Class has a big 12.3-inch screen in front of the driver and another 12.8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. It can connect to the internet and has two places to charge your phone without plugging them in. Plus, it has cool lighting in 64 different colors, a huge sunroof that goes all the way across the roof, and fancy 20-inch wheels.
Mercedes Benz S-Class Safety Features
The Mercedes Benz S Class offers a comprehensive suite of safety features, meticulously designed to provide unparalleled protection for both drivers and passengers. With ten strategically positioned airbags, including front, side, and curtain airbags, the S Class ensures that occupants are shielded from harm in the event of a collision. These airbags deploy rapidly upon impact, cushioning individuals and minimizing the risk of injury.
In addition to its robust airbag system, the S Class is equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a cutting-edge safety technology that continuously monitors vehicle dynamics. ESC aids the driver in maintaining control, particularly in challenging driving conditions or emergency situations. By selectively applying brakes to individual wheels and modulating engine power, ESC helps prevent skidding and loss of control, enhancing overall safety on the road.
The S Class also features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) in tandem with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), further enhancing its safety credentials. ABS prevents wheel lock-up during hard braking, enabling the driver to maintain steering control and stability. EBD complements ABS by intelligently distributing braking force among the wheels, optimizing stopping power based on various factors such as vehicle load and road conditions.
Navigating parking lots and tight spaces is made easier and safer with the S Class's front and rear parking sensors. These sensors utilize ultrasonic technology to detect nearby obstacles, providing the driver with audible warnings or visual alerts to aid in maneuvering and avoiding collisions. Whether parallel parking on a busy street or navigating a crowded parking garage, the S Class's parking sensors contribute to a stress-free and seamless parking experience.
