Printers are one of the crucial hardware devices for businesses as well as home users. Epson is a famous printer brand known for print quality and budget-friendly costs. But one error which is reported by many users is the Epson printer error code 0x97.

This Canon error code mainly occurs when your printer device is old. The printer components like fuser and printhead get torn out and start showing the error. But some users get this error on their new Epson printer.

Troubleshooting Epson printer error code:

Restart your PC and Epson printer

Sometimes the PC gets into a runtime error which interrupts your printing process. If your printing process gets interrupted and error message 0x97 appears on the screen then you should restart your printer and computer. Eject the power cord from the Epson printer.

Pull out the USB cable and shut down your computer and wait for a minute. Now restart the PC and connect the cable. Plugin the power cord and your printer will start automatically. Printer troubleshooter is an inbuilt tool of Windows for fixing the printer related errors. When your Epson printer is giving you an error message, you should run a printer troubleshooter for fixing it. Here are the steps for running the printer troubleshooter tool:

1. Go to your Windows 10 PC
2. Click on the Windows icon on the taskbar 
3. Choose Settings from the list and navigate to Devices
4. Select Printers and Scanners
5. Choose Printer option and click on Manage
6. Tap the Run Troubleshooter option

The Windows printer troubleshooter will run and check all the files and other functions which can lead to the error. It will show a report after some time.
