Honda Unicorn Engine Specifications

The Honda Unicorn got a big upgrade with a bigger 163cc engine. This new engine is fuel-injected and air-cooled, making it more powerful. It can produce 12.92PS of power and 14Nm of torque. Even though the power is the same as the old Unicorn 150, the torque has increased by 1.2Nm. It still has a 5-speed transmission.

The new Unicorn BS6 is based on the CB Unicorn 150 but it's lighter by 6kg. It's also a bit shorter by 10mm, but it has a longer seat for more comfort. For suspension, it uses a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the back. Braking is handled by a disc brake in the front and a drum brake in the back.

Honda Unicorn Features

When we talk about features, the Honda Unicorn is pretty much like its design – not much has changed. There's one notable absence though: an engine kill switch. Unlike the Honda Shine, the Unicorn BS6 hasn't been updated with modern features like LED headlights or an ACG starter. Its instrument cluster still uses old-school analog dials, which might seem outdated compared to newer digital displays. It does have single-channel ABS though.

Honda Unicorn Design

The new Unicorn BS6 bike looks a lot like the older one. Honda designers haven't changed any of the panels. Even though the Unicorn has been around in India for almost twenty years, it still looks pretty modern.
