Great level design, fun platforming mechanics, and music so superb that it was practically unaltered in the Super Mario Bros. film are all hallmarks of the renowned franchise.

We can only speculate as to where some mario games fit in the timeline, but we do know how they connect to one another and how most of them fit in with each other.
