Recap of Race Episode 12

Sun-tae begins Race episode 12 by rejoicing with his colleagues following his significant promotion. When he returns home, he appears depressed after entering an empty flat. Meanwhile, Young-ho is upset after learning that his company loyalty has been rewarded in such a harsh way.

Meanwhile, Jae-min invites Yoon-jo to a celebration dinner at Utopia but is surprised to see Dong-hoon accompanying her. As they converse, it becomes clear that both men are fiercely competing with Yoon-jo. Jae-min begins to recount the things she has done for him over the years, which causes her to cry and leaves Dong-hoon perplexed. Yoon-jo eventually gets up and departs.
A week later, it is announced that, in addition to Hoo-gil and Young-ho, Chul-jun is also leaving. It's a melancholy moment, but it's made even more awkward when Yoon-jo walks in front of them, and it's clear that they haven't spoken since Jae-min's emotional outburst at Utopia. Even Dong-hoon is overworked and fidgety, and he confides in Hee-young about how Yoon-jo rarely speaks to him.

Yoon-jo tries to explain her situation to Eun, who tells her to talk to Jae-min and then tells her that nothing is going on between him and the woman he was interested in (Yi-jung). Later, she runs into Hee-young, and Yi-jung joins them for a drink, which ends pretty beautifully.

Yi-jung's R&I Team eventually continues their work of linking employees and consumers with Seyong while also rebranding the company. Meanwhile, Yoon-jo tries to communicate to Dong-hoon, but he asks her to delve inside her heart and figure out what she wants first. Jae-min, on the other hand, laments not seeing Yoon-jo.

That night, after their mother steals their security deposit for the residence, Hae-jo becomes distraught and flees.
