Stick when grab and shoot or post fade. Button from NBA 2K MT anyplace in close. Works for me but it took a little practice. Isn't it harder to select your layup if you utilize button? I've always fought with those controls and utilized stick for layups. I swear I feel like I have wasted $149 (Aussie dollars). I'd LOVE to be shooting 40% but I am lucky if I can hit 20%. I just play offline. I know we have scrub players at this time, and I am a below average player but badly even layups that are in the center of the meter aren't going in. I do not even dare to try a jump shooter. The AI seems to be ridiculous levels as well. I understand they wish to reward ability in 2k21 but this kind of material will really put off casual gamers and people new the 2K franchise and also new to basketball games.

I have been playing since 2K13 but I've never been that good of a participant. My starter players've never played this bad at 2k16,17,18,19 and 20. The only other 2K I played with 2K20 was 2K13 and that has been on PC. I improved a hell of a lot in 2K20 to the point where I could go as high as Superstar without using STS. However, this is a completely different level with a completely different mechanic. I did ok in the demo and at the quickgames with the new shooting meter but can not hit the side of a barn .

Simply played the demo, but the stick was a great deal more dependable than button to get me. I have been a button guy too. I have a 75 3 pointer, I believe I greened one shooter like 5 nba games. . . Genuinely shooting 2/16 within an offline triple threat game on just layups and 1 open jumpshot which airballed on slightly early. Spent $100 with this bullshit lmao. Man the shooting is additional fine right now but I would advise shot time like appearance for your que on the animation.

Yep I'm having trouble with it as well. Launched a match on My team heading 0/12 missing open 3s and midrange shots all over the place. I'm all for them toning down shots being almost automatic but the machine looks just a little bit too unforgiving so far. Hopefully will begin to get better after a few more matches of Buy 2K MT getting used to it. The game came out and we have ta new meter with slightly different timing.
