Even though it had difficulties launching, Diablo 2: Resurrected was ultimately the most accomplished of Blizzard Entertainment's contemporary remakes. Having partnered with Diablo 4 Gold Vicarious Visions, the project was able to bring the original Diablo 2 into the present. However, there's always been one element of the game that fell short of expectations the lobby system.

It's been eight months since the game's launch, Diablo 2: Resurrected's lobby is still an issue, forcing players to use third-party matchmaking tools in addition to Discord communities to set up their multiplayer games. By old standards it's true that this Diablo 2 lobby was considered outdated and lacking the essential features such as filters or displaying the progress of quests. Due to Blizzard Entertainment's track record of providing an online experience that is unmatched in quality, the current situation of Diablo 2: Resurrected's matchmaking appears in a terrible way.

Fortunately for players in Diablo 2: Resurrected, Blizzard has officially broken its silence on the subject, stating that the team is developing a major update to the lobby system, for each PC and console versions of the game. More details about the changes planned for Diablo 2: Resurrected will be revealed within the next few weeks - hopefully with an ongoing support that goes beyond the rework of the lobby.

Coming off the heels of controversy surrounding Diablo 4's predatory microtransactions and its monetization system, this update may provide a needed source of positive publicity for Blizzard Entertainment as the trust in Diablo players is shaken. Although Diablo 4 has found financial success in the mobile app marketplace for a game with no cost to play gamers are concerned that Diablo 4's in-game shops could have the same fate.

Despite the problems that players have to deal with in their official matchmaking program, Diablo 2: Resurrected can be played by itself for players who are just beginning the game as well as for those who have played Sanctuary who want to having a classic from the past under a new look. As it's basically similar to an original Diablo 2. players can play with their old character saves to carry on from where they have left off.

If you're interested in an enhanced, competitive multiplayer experience, Diablo 2: Resurrected has created its first ladder featuring four distinct gameplay modes that players can choose from. Along with the release of Patch 2.4. the first major update to Diablo 2 in over a decade - those disillusioned with Diablo IV Gold may yet find some enjoyment in Sanctuary by re-connecting with an old, familiar friend.
