Women in the U.A.E. partake vigorously in the private sector in numerous roles. They have equal rights, such as guaranteed equal pay, along with access to ownership and control of land and other property, monetary services, legacy, and natural resources, consistent with national laws. The nation had the highest count of women on Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Arab Businesswomen in 2020, at 23.

It is common for people everywhere to spend significantly on personal wellness, and the country is setting new records in terms of the spending on cosmetics. Most cosmetics have some other fragrance in them, and they are prized by both males and females. According to EMI, the U.A.E. will spend around AED 9 billion on personal care by the year 2022, which will be an annual growth of 2% since 2019.

Till now, women have been the biggest consumers of such fragrances in the country, because just like in other parts of the world, females here take their appearance and the impression they make on others seriously. Moreover, with liberalization, females have started becoming part of social events, such as parties and galas. Similarly, Emirati men are also increasingly buying these products, influenced strongly by the Western culture propagated through social media and TV and the fact that a large number of overseas multinational companies now have offices here.
