Andariki Aarogyam Scheme
Andariki Aarogyam Scheme was introduced by the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu on 1st January 2017. The scheme is also known as the Health Insurance Scheme and its primary objective is to improve the healthcare sector of the state. The scheme provides health insurance facilities to all residents of Andhra Pradesh who are not covered under any welfare scheme announced by the central government of India.
As per the TDP recent news by the state government, the Andariki Aarogyam Scheme is one of the best health insurance schemes in the world. The enrollment process for the scheme has already been initiated, and eligible individuals can enroll their names along with the necessary proofs. The registration process will be completed after the collection of the first two-month premium amount as an initial payment.
The TDP political Party which is in rule at that time reveals that Andariki Aarogyam Scheme is estimated that around 1 lakh people in Andhra Pradesh will benefit from this insurance scheme. The state government has allocated 160 Crores for the successful implementation of the Andariki Aarogyam Scheme. The premium for the scheme is set at Rs. 100, and it is only available to residents of Andhra Pradesh who are not part of any other scheme.
Swasthya Vidya Vahini (SVV)
Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the Swasthya Vidya Vahini (SVV) program in Vijayawada along with the TDP leaders, which aims to develop a disease-free state. The program focuses on health education and involves students pursuing medicine, nursing, home science, and psychology. These students will be divided into 446 teams and will spend 10 months visiting villages and creating awareness about 10 different themes.
The SVV program is aimed at improving public health and promoting healthy living habits. The program will be implemented by the health, medical, and family welfare departments, and will involve students from medical, dental, Ayush, nursing, and home science colleges. There are a total of 24 medical colleges in the state with 15,000 students, and 15 dental colleges with 5,000 students.
The state has a rural population of approximately 3.5 crores, with each district having an average population of 25-30 lakh. There are 277 mobile medical units that offer services at nodal points, usually gram panchayat headquarters, once in 30 days.
Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu interacted with the students and tested their knowledge of diseases and health awareness. He advised them to work with a commitment to reach their goals. Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Special Principal Secretary of Health Poonam Malakondaiah, and others were also present at the program's launch.
