★     The literacy rate of our state is 44%

★     Among women, however, it is much lower at 28%.

★     Harassment of teachers or students in schools

To overcome the above situation, the state government has taken many initiatives with determination and persistence:

➔     Vision 2020 was formulated and the aim was decided to provide education to all by 2005. Improved access to student education. They are improving educational standards through incentive measures like upgrading infrastructure, empowering teachers, etc.

Steps taken to achieve the above objectives were:

●      Every small village also has a primary school per km, a high school per 3 km, and a secondary school per 5 km.

●     Steps have been taken to establish a high school for around 1.6 lakh teachers have been recruited. Apart from these steps are being taken this year to recruit 16,000 more teachers.

●     The system of child labor is a significant obstacle to achieving full literacy. The government has paid special attention to issues such as special measures, strict legislation, public awareness, etc. to eradicate it

●     40 new residential schools in mandals with low literacy

●     The dropout percentage was reduced from 63 to 47 by 2002

●     Student enrollment increased from 1.09 crore to 1.35 crore

●     10th pass percentage increased from 55 to 75

●     Making 78.94 lakh people literate through the Akshara Sankranti program.
