Two-player teams of four players compete against one another in the popular trick-taking Euchre online game. The basic rules of the game are similar to those of Whist in that each player deals one card, and unless a trump suit card is played, the trick is won by the highest card of the lead suit.

To begin this game, the player to the dealer's left leads any card, including trumps, from any suit. Players that possess a card from the led suit follow suit as the Euchre game progresses clockwise. The trump suit, not its native suit, is the bower on the left.

The player who played the highest card in the lead suit wins the trick unless a trump is played. If a trump card is used, the player who used the highest trump card wins the trick. A player who does not play the suit led or trump cannot win the trick. The trick winner takes the dealt cards off the table, flips them over, and moves on to the following trick.

Once all five rounds have been played, the hand is then scored. The person to the left of the previous dealer deals the subsequent hand, and so on clockwise around the table until one partnership achieves 10 points and takes the victory.
