What is a Professional Review Interview (PRI)?
After the review by a Scrutineer Review Panel (SRP), applicants for IOM3 Chartership registration (CEng and CEnv) need to attend a PRI and at the discretion of the Membership Committee for those applying for CSci. It offers applicants an opportunity to demonstrate that they are practicing at the level for which they seek recognition.
The PRI will be carried out by a Professional Review Panel (PRP) consisting of two trained evaluators who are IOM3 members and have the professional registration for which the candidate has applied.
Applicants have to bring to the PRI their passport as their identification proof, which will be verified before the PRI starts.
The PRI will be conducted online using MS Teams and last between 45 to 60 minutes. It will cover applicants’ professional development, technical experience and attainments, management and commercial awareness, and commitment to professional standards including Continuing Professional Development. The PRP will utilize the Competence requirements as the framework and assessment matrix for the Professional Review Interview.
After the PRI, the PRP will submit an assessment report and recommendation which will be used by the Membership Committee to make a decision on the suitability of the applicant for professional registration.
