In Indian colleges and universities, the National Eligibility Test (NET), also known as UGC NET or NTA-UGC-NET, is a test used to determine eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship grant as well as the assistant professor position. The National Testing Agency of the University Grants Commission is in responsibility of giving the exam.

It is considered one of the hardest exams in India, with a success rate of just 6%. Working as a teacher requires dedication and commitment. The NET test must be passed with the same qualities.
