More Than Just Living
Living your life is more than ensuring you adhere to your needs and requirements. It is more than making sure your essentials are met or the fact that you have a particular goal that you are striving towards, and in that struggle, you forget where you are and where you are headed, and at times you forget what your original goals were in the first place.
Everyone has a dream, a purpose they are working towards, to make a contribution, or to fulfill a purpose, but not everybody is doing what makes them truly happy. Many people in this world are just doing what they must do because they have certain obligations or are just pushing through life. They need to take the time to find what they want to do. They need to understand that there is a big difference between just doing something and working on something that makes you happy or gives you a sense of purpose.
When you realize your strengths, all the pieces start to fit together, and you understand what you want in life. You feel like you belong, even though there may be times when things seem hectic. This is one of the primary reasons you need to reach out and experiment- do what makes you happy. Sometimes you try something that does not work out for you, and that is okay. Don't wallow in grief and think your life is over. You can never totally comprehend what you have gotten out of an experience and may achieve something you never imagined. Just because it does not align with your plans does not mean that that particular skill or accomplishment is useless.
You have to remember that it is never too late to start over, and it is so much better to try something new instead of draining your energy into something that does not excite you, urge you to wake up in the morning or give it all you got. That way, you are living life. You get up, you go to work, you come home, and you go to sleep. If you feel your job is draining you physically, emotionally, and mentally, you should start looking to switch places. Your workplace should be able to liven you up rather than drain you. Living life to the fullest is not just about experiences; it's more about how you respond to what is happening around you. It should be more than just living or existing.
