What is the difference between chronic and acute back pain? - Dr. Prasad Umbarkar
Many Indians suffer from acute and chronic back pain. Severe back pain usually occurs suddenly, often as a result of known injuries. In most cases, it subsides within a few days, but sometimes it takes up to six weeks.
Chronic pain usually develops slowly and the severity of the condition may worsen over time. Chronic back pain lasts for at least three months or episodically and returns for six months or more. Your back pain should be treated as soon as possible, whether it is mild or acute. Talk to your doctor about the health of your back.
