During the Animal Crossing Direct livestream, Nintendo revealed a total of more than a dozen new and returning villagers and NPCs, including those who will be appearing in the New Horizons expansion.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf introduces Katrina, a new non-player character (NPC) to the game. Katrina has appeared in every Animal Crossing game released to date, and she is frequently seen acting as a fortune teller.

Even though she played only a minor role in the GameCube version, she would go on to make fortunes that came true and provide fortune cookies to lucky players in later versions of Animal Crossing. Nintendo revealed in New Horizons that she also had the ability to transport players to the Star Matrix, but Nintendo did not go into detail about the scope of her abilities.

Kapp'n is a brand-new NPC in the ACNH universe, having only appeared recently.

Capt. Kapp'n is the captain of his own ship, as implied by his name, and he is in charge of ferrying players between islands throughout the game. While the Dodo Airlines NPCs (who retain their position on the island as well as their existing services) are retained, unlike the original Animal Crossing, Kapp'n transports players to Animal Crossing Mystery Islands, which are located in different hemispheres and contain different types of plant life and biomes than those found in the original Animal Crossing.

Harriet is a new NPC who has been added to the ACNH's roster of available characters. Harriet, the game's pink poodle hairdresser, provides players with the opportunity to experiment with different hairstyles, which was another feature that was requested by players.

In contrast, Animal Crossing hairstyles have always been severely lacking and restricted, even though New Horizons introduced a plethora of customization options that were not present in previous games. Now that Harriet has returned to the game, players will be able to experiment with different looks and put their ACNH bells to good use in a variety of ways.

Tortimer's letter to the American Council on Natural History (ACNH) concerning the formation of a new non-profit organization (NPC).

Tortimer has had a long and illustrious career in the Animal Crossing games, previously serving as mayor of most towns until Animal Crossing: New Leaf, when players took on the role of mayor for the first time in the game's history for the first time in its history. Although some fans were concerned that Tortimer had died, Tortimer will be returning to ACNH in the near future to assist with item storage, contrary to popular belief. The fact that this will be addressed in version 2.0 is fantastic, as there are many players who have been playing since the beginning and are unable to organize or store all of their furniture is a source of frustration for them.

Roswell is a newcomer to the Agricultural Community of New Hampshire, having moved here from Massachusetts.

Additionally, Roswell made an appearance in Dbutsu no Mori e+, where he was known as Pironkon and was a character who could only be played by using an e-Reader. Roswell was also a guest star in Dbutsu no Mori e+. His design is distinctive but not particularly appealing due to the sandy color palette and strange eyes he has chosen for him. A Lazy Villager is a character who has appeared in a number of previous titles, including Roswell. Others are unlikely to be willing to give up their limited island space in order to accommodate his bizarre markings and patterns, despite the fact that some ACNH fans may find his bizarre markings and patterns amusing. Despite the fact that he has unusual markings and patterns, some ACNH fans may find him endearing despite these characteristics.

Frett Frett is a Dog Villager who first appeared in Dbutsu no Mori e+, where he was known as Champagne. He has since changed his name to Frett Frett. Champagne used to be known as Frett Frett before becoming Frett Frett. He has recently relocated to the village of ACNH.

Instead of being designed in the manner of a father, this Dog Villager is designed in the manner of a son, with two eyes that are too far apart from one another. In previous games, he displayed the personality trait of being a grumpy old codger, which he continued to do. According to the latest information, it is currently unclear whether or not Frett's interior design from previous games will be carried over to this game.

Azalea has joined the ranks of the ACNH, making them the proud owners of yet another new villager. In some ways, the design is reminiscent of Meringue, particularly the white markings that appear to be frosting, as well as the neon blue color palette that looks like it belongs in a frosting container.

Azalea was known by the name Petunia in her final appearance in the franchise, Dbutsu no Mori e+, which marked the first time she had appeared under that name. Azalea has established herself as having the Snooty personality type in previous appearances; however, due to her newfound maturity in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, this could change.
