What Causes Jitter

About Jitter

Basically, whenever you send anything over the internet—text, images, audio, video—that information is transmitted via data packets. Your voice or image is broken into thousands of those packets and they’re sent across the Internet to servers, and once they reach their destination, they're reassembled.

Causes Of Jitter

Wireless Network

This is the most frequent cause of jitter. Usually, my router or modem is the issue when I notice jitter (and when I am certain that I am the one generating it and not the other person).

Network congestion

Network congestion essentially occurs when several devices are queuing and attempting to access the same network, much like a traffic jam. Due to the connection's slowing, as a result, there will be jitter, latency, and other call quality problems.
