In columbarium of Nirvana Memorial Garden , the urns containing the deceased's remains are kept, differs from most traditional Buddhist burial ceremonies which there is no incense burned and no monks leading prayers.

In Singapore, most of columbaria are gloomy, foreboding spaces where the ground is covered in incense ash and urns are stacked up to the ceiling in small pigeonholes, each bearing a portrait of the deceased. However, Nirvana Singapore is special, it has plenty of space and comfort.

According to director of Nirvana Singapore, "this is not a location for people to come only once a year to visit their parents or relatives. We aim to create an environment to encourage them to come as often as possible."

The'six star' columbarium is the first opulent final resting place in Singapore.
